Paul Pogba's agent has dealt a blow to Manchester United and Manchester City by hinting the midfield superstar might stay at Juventus after all.

Pogba was expected to leave Turin this summer, sparking a scramble for his signature that could produce a transfer fee to threaten the world-record £86 million Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale.

His agent Mino Raiola has always talked up the likelihood of Pogba’s departure but he now seems to have rowed back a little. Speaking to French newspaper Le Parisien, Raiola said: “Everyone thinks Paul will leave Juventus but that is not certain.

“Everything depends on Paul’s wishes and those of the club. All the great clubs are interested and we have respect for the leagues of France, Germany, Spain, Italy and England.”

Paris St Germain are likely to push for Pogba, 21, and Raiola offered the French club some encouragement by adding: “Ligue 1 is not too small for Paul.”
