Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal made four changes as his side prepared to face PSV at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Both Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial were welcomed back into the side after missing Saturday's narrow victory over Watford, while Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo were also brought back into Van Gaal's XI.

Ashley Young and Juan Mata dropped to the bench, while Premier League starters Phil Jones (ankle) and Ander Herrera (hamstring) were not named in the matchday squad as United pursued qualification for the knockout stages.

United went into the tie knowing victory over the Eredivisie outfit would ensure their progression to the last-16.
