Watford take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Wednesday looking to halt their hosts' hopes of a top-four finish and climb into the top half of the table.

Louis van Gaal is without a host of regular starters, but United overcame Arsenal 3-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday with Marcus Rashford scoring twice on his Premier League debut for the Red Devils.

Two more goals tonight for United would see them record their 1000th goal in Premier League history on home turf, though Quique Sanchez Flores' men will put up a fight.

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Varela, Blind, Rojo, Fosu-Mensah; Schneiderlin, Herrera; Martial, Mata, Memphis; Rashford.

Substitutes: Romero, McNair, Darmian, Riley, Lingard, Rothwell, Weir.

Watford XI: Gomes (GK); Nyom, Britos, Prodl, Holebas; Capoue, Watson, Behrami; Abdi, Deeney (c); Ighalo.

Watford substitutes: Pantilimon (GK), Cathcart, Paredes, Ake, Suarez, Anya, Amrabat.

What they said

Quique Sanchez Flores

"We have in our mind the opportunity to add these points against Manchester United but, of course, we are expecting a difficult match - very tough.

"United are on a good run, playing well, a young team, very quick with skill.

"But we are always in our line, our way, respecting the teams but always we are there to be competitive and add points in the matches."

Louis van Gaal

"When you [reporters] are in front of his [Rashford's] house and that kind of stuff, I don't think that is beneficial for a boy of 18 years old.

"Give him the time also to be 18 years and we shall guide him also in that way, but he is a very modest guy so I don't think that shall be the problem."
