Manchester United's Bastian Schweinsteiger insists his injury problems are over

Bastian Schweinsteiger insists he's in perfect shape after signing a three-year deal with Manchester United on Monday.

The midfielder underwent a medical over the weekend ahead of his £15million move to Old Trafford and yesterday afternoon flew out with the rest of the squad to the US for the club's pre-season tour.

The 30-year-old struggled with injury at Bayern Munich last season, making just 15 Bundesliga starts following Germany's successful World Cup campaign in Brazil, but has assured United supporters he is fighting fit going into the new campaign.

He told MUTV: "Of course, I had a tough World Cup so after that I was injured until I think end of October.
