Marko Arnautovic: I can't describe how scoring West Ham's winner vs Chelsea felt

Marko Arnautovic was almost lost for words after becoming West Ham's London derby hero on Saturday with the winning goal against Premier League champions Chelsea.

The £24million club-record signing was jeered by home fans earlier in the season after some below-par displays, but he looks a player reborn under Moyes.

Chelsea were carved open far too easily with West Ham's first attack at the London Stadium, when Arnautovic played a quick one-two with Manuel Lanzini.

The Austrian nipped in behind Andreas Christensen and, as Cesar Azpilicueta stood off, curled his shot around the defender and keeper Thibaut Courtois.

West Ham worked hard to see out the 1-0 win, and Arnautovic - booked for celebrating his early goal with the Hammers fans - was delighted after finally beginning to repay his summer transfer fee.

"We had to work hard, as a striker we had to do many other jobs as well - defence and offence," he told Sky Sports.

"I can't describe my feelings, it was amazing. All the players what they did was amazing and we deserve the three points.

"I wanted to do it (score) on my first day at West Ham but I think I am back on track.

"I don't want this to be my last goal. I want to make the club happy.

"The last few weeks we have put in a lot of work but we were not always lucky.

"I think it is come back and the confidence is going to be high now. We beat one of the top teams. Now we have to look to go up the table."
