Scorer: Marvin Sordell

Marvin Sordell can hardly believe Watford's change in fortune after all the uncertainty over the club's future last season.

Watford were a whisker away from administration but have shrugged that off to enjoy a great start to the new campaign, culminating in Saturday's
6-1 rout at Millwall.

"When the club were in trouble, the players used to come into the training ground and watch Sky Sports News," said Sordell, who scored his side's third goal at The Den. "We didn't know what was going to happen. But everyone got together and we have remained close."

Watford boss Malky Mackay could not quite believe the scoreline at Millwall. He said: "To get six is some feat but the players must forget that and roll on to the next game."
