A much-changed Liverpool side came from a goal down to beat Burnley with their comeback 3-1 win at Turf Moor up first up on Match of the Day.

Jack Cork put the home side ahead shortly after the break but James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri scored after the hour mark to seal all three points.

The victory means Jurgen Klopp's side, who had made seven changes from the victory over Everton at the weekend, keep within two points of leaders Manchester City.

In a thrilling game at Old Trafford, Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 20 games as Jesse Lingard's strike cancelled out Alexandre Lacazette's deflected effort to rescue a 2-2 draw for Manchester United.

The Gunners had taken the lead twice through Shkodran Mustafi and Lacazette but Anthony Martial and Lingard secured a point for Jose Mourinho's men.

Chelsea were stunned by a resilient Wolves side after going down 2-1 at Molineux.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek's second goal in four days gave the Blues the lead in the first half before strikes from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota completed a dramatic fightback for Wolves.

That defeat allowed Tottenham to climb above Chelsea into third with a comfortable 3-1 triumph at home to Southampton, who had new boss Ralph Hasenhuttl in the stands watching on.

Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son had Mauricio Pochettino's side before an injury-time consolation from Charlie Austin clawed one back.

Elsewhere, Claudio Ranieri was forced to settle for a point against former club Leicester as Fulham were held to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

Abdoulaye Kamara's effort in the first half was cancelled out by James Maddison's late goal to keep the west London side bottom of the table on goal difference.
