Mathieu Flamini has made his first appearance for Crystal Palace following his unveiling on Thursday.

The former Arsenal midfielder made his debut against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on September 10, 2016, coming on for Joe Ledley in the second half.

Flamini was released by the Gunners at the end of last season and arrived at Selhurst Park on a free transfer after weighing up offers from a number of clubs.

The 32-year-old spent seven years with Arsenal across two spells, winning three FA Cups and helping Arsene Wenger's side reach the 2006 Champions League final.

Following his move south of the city to Palace, Flamini said: "Crystal Palace is a very ambitious club with great players and I am looking forward to being part of that squad. It is a very interesting challenge for me and I am very excited to be here.

"I have had chance to discuss the move here with Alan Pardew and he really helped me make my decision."
