Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his Tottenham side on Friday after they thrashed Inter Milan 6-1 to end their pre-season off on a high.
Despite Ivan Perisic's 23rd-minute goal cancelling out Harry Kane's early penalty, Spurs went on to dominate the clash in Oslo as Erik Lamela, Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen, Shayon Harrison and another from Kane ensured the north Londoners prepared for their upcoming first Premier League game in style.
When asked what was most pleasing about Spurs' big win on Friday, Pochettino told the club's official website afterwards: "All of it!
"It’s true we need to analyse the game and improve in certain areas but I’m pleased with everything, very happy.
"The performance was good but in football, you can’t stop, you have to try to improve every day."
Tottenham open up the new Premier League campaign with a tricky away game against Everton on 13 August, but Pochettino insisted his men will be ready for the trip to Goodison Park as the team look to have another shot at winning the top-flight title.
“It was important to finish our pre-season in a very positive way and important to win," the Argentine said. "It was the first time the players involved in the Euros played and it was fantastic to see them all together.
"Now we have another week to prepare for the game against Everton and we will arrive ready to compete."
