Genk striker Mbwana Samatta is in talks with two Premier League clubs over a January switch, with the fee thought to be around £8.5million (€10m).

Palace were interested in the 27-year-old before turning attentions to Cenk Tosun, who joined on loan from Everton last week.

Aston Villa, Brighton, Norwich City and West Ham have all been linked with Samatta, who is expected to leave the Belgian outfit this month should his €10m valuation be met.

Samatta, who represents Tanzania at international level, is predominantly a striker but can also play in an attack-minded midfield role.

Liverpool fans will know Samatta after he equalised for Genk at Anfield during a Champions League group stage game earlier this season. It was one of three goals the striker scored in the competition this term.

Samatta has 10 goals for Genk this season, adding to the 32 he netted across all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.
