Mido exits Middlesbrough and returns to Zamalek

Middlesbrough striker Mido has joined Egyptian side Zamalek on loan for a year.

The Egypt striker started his career with Zamalek before moving to Ajax in 2001.

The 26-year-old scored just seven goals in 22 games as Middlesbrough were relegated from the Premier League last season.

He had already spent the second half of last season on loan at Wigan and was fined by Boro when he failed to turn up for training last month.
