Millwall could use DVD evidence to explain players' fury

Elbow: Gareth Ainsworth

Millwall are considering using a DVD showing Gareth Ainsworth breaking Tony Craig's cheekbone as part of their defence at a Football Association disciplinary hearing.

Millwall and Wycombe Wanderers have been charged with failing to control their players after a 21-man brawl in Saturday's match, sparked by Ainsworth elbowing Craig.

The Wycombe man was sent off for the incident, which came three months after the pair clashed at The Den.

On that occasion, Ainsworth left Craig with a fractured cheekbone and Millwall are confident that footage of that challenge will provide mitigation for the reaction of their angry players last week.
