Next Tuesday night's fixture between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge will not be a cagey affair. The first leg of this Capital One Cup tie was intense, petulant and, at times, a little feisty, but what did we really learn?

The 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea in the first leg of the first Capital One Cup semi-final has perfectly set up the return leg next week.

Raheem Sterling’s superb individual goal on 59 minutes levelled the tie after Eden Hazard took the lead midway into the first half from the penalty spot.

With the tie on a knife-edge going into next Tuesday's clash at Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho admitted after the match that 'a two leg semi-final… now becomes a one leg semi-final'.
