Bournemouth's Nathan Ake has dismissed any speculation linking him with a move away from the south coast.

The former Chelsea defender has been rumoured as a target for both Manchester United and Tottenham since becoming a key figure in Eddie Howe's side.

Following a successful loan spell during Chelsea's title-winning season, Ake became the Cherries' then club-record signing in a £20million deal last summer.

Since then the Dutchman has continued to impress leading to his name cropping up as Jose Mourinho continues to search for a new centre-back pairing, though he insists his sole focus remains on Bournemouth.

"I’ve seen it pass by but of course it’s rumours," Ake told Dutch site Football Oranje.

"At the moment I play at Bournemouth and that is going well, so I focus on that.

"This does not say much about my status yet. They are rumours on the internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that."
