Neal Ardley named new AFC Wimbledon boss

10 October 2012

Former Wimbledon player Neal Ardley has been announced as the club's new manager.

Ardley made nearly 250 appearances for the Dons from 1991 to 2002 and has more recently worked as Academy manager at Cardiff City.

He takes over following Terry Brown's departure last month and will be assisted by former Watford full-back Neil Cox.

Chief executive Erik Samuelson said: "With four graduates from our Academy already in the first-team squad, Neal's background in bringing through young players fits perfectly with our commitment to youth development.

"We are looking forward to working with him."
