Theo Walcott has been included in Arsenal's starting line up for the Premier League fixture against Newcastle United at St. James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Englishman is keen to be fielded in a central role this season and has done enough to convince Arsene Wenger that he is the man to lead the Gunners' attack on Tyneside ahead of Olivier Giroud.

Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny has returned to the side. The French defender missed Monday's 0-0 draw against Liverpool with a back problem but has recovered to take his place in the centre of defence alongside Gabriel.

Midfielder Mesut Ozil has also been replaced by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Meanwhile, the hosts will line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with summer signing Aleksandar Mitrović the man to lead Newcastle's front line.

The striker has already hit the net against Arsenal earlier in his career as he was on target as Anderlecht secured a shock 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium in a Champions League group game last season.

Steve McClaren's side recorded a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend but are yet to record their first win of the season.

The Gunners will be hopeful that they can collect all three points and close the gap on early pacesetters Manchester City.
