All set: Pulis led the club to America, Austria and Germany in pre-season

Former Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has ruled out a dramatic return to Selhurst Park.

Malky Mackay was expected to assume the reins at Selhurst Park as Palace sought an immediate replacement, but the emergence of the Scot's role in an exchange of racist text massages forced the south London club to pull the plug.

And the odds for the new manager have since been all over the place, with no obvious successor to Pulis in the market. After Tim Sherwood pulled out of the race earlier this week, the odds on Pulis making a sensational return to the Selhurst Park dugout have plunged dramatically, reaching 7/2 with some bookies.

But the Welshman has insisted there is 'no chance' he will return to SE25.

"Having spent the whole pre-season working with the players, going to Austria, America and Germany, to prepare everything for the new season and not to get started with them is a little a disappointing," Pulis told beIN Sports.

But when asked if he would consider a return to Palace, Pulis added: "Going back where? No, no. No chance."
