Oliver Norwood says Fulham’s passing style of football made it an easy decision to join the club.

The Northern Ireland midfielder has moved on a season’s loan after helping Brighton win promotion to the Premier League.

Norwood said: “I’m just delighted to be here. Having come up against Fulham in the past two seasons, the football they have played suits my style and the way I like to play football."

Fulham finished in the Championship play-offs last season and won a reputation for playing expansive football under Slavisa Jokanovic, scoring 85 goals.

They lost in to Reading at the semi-final stage, but Norwood hopes to record back-to-back promotions after a successful year at the Amex Stadium.

He added: “Once I knew of the interest, I was desperate to get it done and I am very happy to be here.”

The 26-year-old, a graduate of the Manchester United academy, joined Brighton last summer and played 37 times in their promotion campaign, starting 16 Championship games.
