Oscar: Chelsea players are feeling 'very confident' after Southampton win

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has revealed the reigning Premier League champions are feeling "very confident" now following their revival in form and results.

The Blues came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win at Southampton on Saturday despite the hosts making life extremely hard for the visitors with a solid defensive display.

Chelsea responded to Shane Long's first-half opener, made possible by Abdul Baba Rahman's error, by scoring twice in the second half through Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic.

The victory, just the fourth away win for Chelsea this season, takes the champions into the top half of the table for the first time this season and ensures the team have only suffered one loss since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho in December.

With games against Norwich, Stoke and Paris Saint-Germain coming up for Chelsea, Oscar admits the team are going into the final part of the season with much confidence.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Oscar said: "It is a good win. Southampton scored the first goal when we had control of the game but in the second half we played better.

"They defend so well and we needed to move the ball quicker. We spoke about that in the dressing room and we did move the ball quick in the second half.

"When we have started to win games, the confidence comes and the players are very confident now."
