Pablo Counago given his chance

Ian Gibb11 April 2012

Crystal Palace manager George Burley will hand temperamental but talented striker Pablo Counago a start at Cardiff tonight.

The Spaniard comes in for the suspended James Vaughan, who was sent off during last weekend's 5-0 defeat at Derby.

Burley said: "Pablo has worked hard. He's missed a lot in the past six months so has been working hard on his sharpness and fitness and he'll get the opportunity to impress with James out."

Palace hope last season's top scorer, Darren Ambrose, recovers from a bruised leg for Saturday's clash with QPR.
