Patrice Evra insists everyone at Manchester United is behind David Moyes despite the troubles at Old Trafford.

Moyes’s problems grew on Tuesday when his side were beaten 2‑0 by Olympiakos in the first leg of their Champions League tie.

The shock defeat sparked rumours yesterday morning that Moyes would be sacked just nine months after his appointment although United later insisted such talk was “nonsense”.

The pressure is still on Moyes but Evra says the squad support their manager.

“Nobody likes change,” said the defender. “The team played under Alex Ferguson for more than eight years. We’re behind the new manager and will do all we can.”
