Pedro red card 'more of an orange' as Gary Cahill bemoans another Chelsea dismissal

Gary Cahill has joked that Chelsea would like to finish a game against Arsenal without a red card, adding that Pedro red was more a shade of orange.

Just like in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal in May, when Victor Moses was shown a second yellow card for diving, Chelsea were reduced to 10 men on Sunday.

They were still 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go when Pedro was shown a straight red card for a tackle on Mohamed Elneny and Sead Kolasinac headed the equaliser from the free kick.

Cahill concluded: "It'd be nice to finish the game with 11 men here, when we play [Arsenal].

"The last two games [against them] we've finished with 10 men and it's obviously difficult. I've been told [Pedro's challenge] was an orange card.

"It seems to be when we play here things go the other way, in terms of if it's a 50-50 decision, it doesn't go our way. We lost an important player and it's backs against the wall.

"It's hard to reflect positively because emotionally you've just lost the game but I felt we were in control up until their goal and the sending-off, so that was the disappointment.
