The Premier League has confirmed their rearranged fixtures for the festive period, revealing plans for Christmas Eve fixtures have been scrapped.
Both Sky Sports and BT Sport were looking to show a game on December 24, with Arsenal vs Liverpool tipped to be the game picked. However, after backlash from fans and both clubs, the Premier League intervened and stopped any game from being shown.
While Arsenal vs Liverpool will not be played on Christmas Eve, it has still been rescheduled and, as reported by Standard Sport on Thursday, will be played on Friday, December 22 at 19:45 – live on Sky Sports.
With no game on December 24, there will be three live games shown the day before, with Sky Sports showing Everton vs Chelsea and Leicester City vs Manchester United, while BT Sport will show Burnley vs Tottenham in between.
Spurs will also be live on Boxing Day as they host Southampton in the lunchtime fixture before Liverpool face Swansea City at 17:30, both on Sky Sports.
The Premier League are set to confirm the final TV games in December and the New Year later this month.
