Every Premier League game 'to be broadcast for FREE on YouTube' when season resumes

1/11

The conclusion of the Premier League season could be made free to air on YouTube, according to reports.

As discussions over 'Project Restart' continues with all top-flight clubs, The Sun claims plans to make the games viewable by large audiences are being proposed.

Sky Sports and BT Sport are understood to have, under their existing agreements, rights to show around half of the remaining 92 games before the season was put on hiatus.

With all games set to be played behind closed doors, should the season restart, over the course of seven weeks, those at the top of the domestic game want fans to have access to every game.

Plans would see no games played at the same time, to increase the potential audience.

With traditional terrestrial channels not expected to be a viable option, Sky Sports and BT Sports' YouTube channels could be used.

BT Sport traditional show both the Europa League and Champions League finals for free, and could do similar for the Premier League run-in.

The last time Premier League football was broadcast for free was seven years ago for the opening two games of the 2013-14 season.
