Neymar starred with two spectacular free-kicks as the PSG talisman hit a Champions League hat-trick in the 6-1 rout of Red Star Belgrade in Paris.

The French champions were totally dominant from kick-off as Red Star struggled to get out of their own half at Parc des Princes, with the only surprise being that it took PSG 20 minutes to score their first goal of the evening.

Neymar expertly dispatched a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner to open the scoring, and added his second of the evening just two minutes later with a close-range volley off a Kylian Mbappe cut-back.

Edinson Cavani made it three before half-time to end the game as a contest, and Angel Di Maria flicked a volley home with three minutes of the half remaining.

Mbappe then got himself on the scoresheet with 20 minutes remaining before Marko Marin netted a consolation for the visitors, but Neymar saved the best for last with his second free-kick of the evening to complete his hat-trick.

The victory sees PSG put their first Champions League points on the board after being beaten 3-2 by Liverpool in the opening game of Group C.
