Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez isn't interested in swapping the Foxes for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain this summer - because French football doesn't excite him.
Mahrez is likely to be in demand in the coming months after scoring 17 Premier League goals and creating 11 assists for league leaders Leicester this term, which helped the 25-year-old win the PFA Player of the Year crown earlier this week.
Despite representing Algeria, Mahrez was born in the suburbs of Paris before working his way up Le Havre's academy and then moving to Leicester two years ago.
PSG have cemented their dominance over French football during the time Mahrez has been in England, but the Leicester star isn't thinking about returning to Paris because he finds Premier League football more exciting.
"Even today I am not too excited about the prospect of PSG. It is my town, but I do not see myself going back," Mahrez told French magazine Onze Mondial.
"I don't really want to go back to France. France does not really excite me, I love England."
Leicester can win the title this weekend if they manage to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, which would mark their first Premier League trophy triumph.
The victory would also be remarkable considering the Foxes' precarious league position last season, and Mahrez believes Leicester's rise from relegation battlers to prospective champions is down to the fighting spirit of his teammates.
"We are fighters. And when I say to you 'fighters', I have never seen anything like this in my life. The guys are hungry like crazy and they let nothing go," he said.
"You blast a shot straight into a guy's face and he doesn't even flinch."
