Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has hailed the return of Poland international Ariel Borysiuk as being “like a new signing.”

The midfielder joined the west London club on a three-year deal last summer but, after featuring in 11 Championship games for QPR, he was allowed to return to Poland, joining Lechia Gdansk on loan until the end of the season.

Despite being the manager who allowed the 25-year old to temporarily leave, Holloway is positive about the impact that Borysiuk can have on the team in the upcoming campaign.

“I’m delighted to have Ariel Borysiuk back,” Holloway told the club site.

“I like his calmness and the way he passes the ball and the way he moves.

“It was the fact he spoke hardly any English. Pawel came through that though and he’s helping Ariel now.

“He deserves the right for me to keep him and add him to my squad.

“For me that is like a new signing.”
