Limited: Taarabt has made just three appearances for Rangers this term

Adel Taarabt is so desperate to leave Queens Park Rangers for AC Milan in January that the midfielder has told them he is willing to take a pay-cut.

Taarabt has made just three appearances for Rangers this term and has not played since having a public bust-up with manager Harry Redknapp. The Morocco international spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan and impressed in Serie A.

He wanted to make the move permanent in the summer but QPR scared them off after putting a £6million price tag on his head.

Rangers want to get Taarabt, who is currently on £65,000-a-week, off their wage bill and the midfielder is prepared to do anything to get out of Loftus Road.

He said: “I miss Italy and Serie A. Now I’m here in London, but I hope that with the new year I can return to Italy.

“When I returned to England after six months at Milan I said so right away to coach Redknapp and he became angry with me.

“(Clarence) Seedorf (former manager) wanted me at Milan, then Filippo Inzaghi arrived and he went for other names. I would take a pay cut to return to Milan.”
