Abnormal: Ramires has been disappointed with Chelsea's start but is determined to improve

Ramires has warned his Chelsea teammates they need to overcome their poor start to the season to ensure that Jose Mourinho stays at the club.

The Blues have managed to win just two of their opening eight Premier League games and are languishing in 16th place; 10 points adrift of pacesetters Manchester City.

Mourinho has received a vote of confidence from the club's hierarchy and is adamant that he will not walk away from Stamford Bridge unless he loses the trust of his players.

The Brazilian midfielder, who has only featured in half of Chelsea's league games, still has full faith in Mourinho and is determined to turn the Blues' fortunes around.

"It is not normal a team who won the league with games to spare should be in this position near the foot of the table," he told the Sun.

"So now we are at a point where we have to react straight away because we don't want to lose the manager.

"We’ve not lost a bit of trust in Jose. Everyone trusts him. We think he is the best manager for us.

"We know that Jose is the best manager because of all we achieved last season.

"The club couldn't win the title for a few years and then he came in and we did it playing really good football."
