Watford defender Adrian Mariappa has been the subject of an enquiry from Premier League new boys Reading, according to reports.
The highly-rated centre-back attracted a host of top-flight attention during the January transfer window as both Newcastle and Wigan saw bids rejected by the Hertfordshire outfit.
Mariappa, Watford's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year, is currently in Jamaica on international duty having been recognised for his exploits for the first time by the Reggae Boyz.
The 25-year-old has a year remaining on his current deal at Vicarage Road.
