Real Madrid have announced a three-year partnership with EA Sports that will see the company become the exclusive and official video partner of the Spanish giants.

EA Sports confirmed the new deal on Tuesday, which will see Real's most popular players such as Cristiano Ronaldo look more realistic in the soon-to-be-released FIFA 16 video game.

The Portuguese star, along with 13 of his teammates including Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez, have had 3D head scans done to ensure they appear more authentic in the game.

Speaking about the partnership, Los Blancos director Emilio Butragueño said: "We’re delighted to be working with EA SPORTS as our official video game partner.

"They’re the market leading brand in football video games and we can’t wait to start working together to give both our fans unforgettable experiences.

"Many of our players are big FIFA gamers and I know they can’t wait to play FIFA 16."

Indeed, the Real squad will get the chance to see just who is the king of FIFA 16 when they take part in an exclusive tournament next season.

But gamers will not only be able to enjoy the benefits of the new deal from their homes as fans attending matches will also get to play FIFA 16 in a new area at the Santiago Bernabeu while the stadium's big screen will show celebrations from the game following goals.

Vice President of EA Sports' marketing, Jamie McKinlay, admitted he was delighted to be working with Real for the next few years.

"We’re honored to welcome Real Madrid as an official partner club and the opportunity to bring fans even closer to the team through unique experiences and authentic player likeness in the game," he said.

"Real Madrid is one of the most popular clubs in the world and that’s also true within our game; we are looking forward to building a deeper connection with the club in the coming years."
