Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas is desperately hoping to avoid playing Chelsea in the Champions League later in the competition.

Chelsea face Paris Saint Germain in the last 16, whereas the holders will play Bundesliga outfit Schalke.

But Casillas fears Chelsea are the team that could ruin his side's bid to retain the trophy.

He said: “I really hope we don’t get drawn to play against Chelsea. Mourinho has them playing phenomenal.”

Casillas recently lifted the lid on his tense relationship with Mourinho when the latter was in charge at Real Madrid. He told Cadena Cope:

"With Mourinho I had a love-hate relationship. In his time here I did not speak of him when he was in my locker room, nor do I think that I have to talk now when he is already managing another team and I'm with my team. It would be a bit self-seeking and little cowardly on my part.

"I hope things go very well for him. In the time that he was at Real Madrid, he won titles and you have to give him thanks. If I cross paths with him tomorrow I am going to extend my hand, then it will be up to him if he shakes it. I think he would shake".
