While Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny has claimed he does not feel under pressure after a miserable UEFA Nations League campaign so far, it’s hard to look past the idea of a change soon.

2021 ended on a positive note but back-to-back defeats at the hands of Armenia and Ukraine have lowered the mood and Ireland face a fight to get anything out of the Group B1,

Currently bottom, they are set to welcome a Scotland side looking get over disappointment of their own.

Their win over Armenia might have done little to ease their World Cup wounds, a trip to Dublin offers the chance of another three points for Steve Clarke’s men, who know the importance of a strong Nations League campaign after it took them to Euro 2020.

Date, kick-off time and venue

The UEFA Nations League game is scheduled for a 5pm BST kick-off on Saturday June 11, 2022.

The Aviva Stadium in Dublin will host.

TV channel: The game will be broadcast on Premier Sports 1, with coverage beginning at 4.15pm.

Republic of Ireland vs Scotland team news

Both John Egan and Seamus Coleman will be missing for Ireland, although Kenny is hopeful of having most of his squad available.

For Scotland, Scott McTominay is likely to come back into the side after being rested for the win over Armenia, though Zander Clark and Liam Cooper have dropped out due to weddings.

Andy Robertson could be rested, with Aaron Hickey an option to replace him.

Ireland cannot buy a win at the moment, albeit might have taken something from the Ukraine game with better finishing.

Scotland, despite their recent disappointment, look to be favourites.
