Rio Ferdinand's back for Manchester United after a lengthy lay-off

Rio Ferdinand will play his first game for three months when he lines up at centre-half for Manchester United against Hull.

Ferdinand has had a back injury but boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: "Rio has been training very well. This is the time to bring him back."

Ferguson said he "wasn't interested" in the row between his former striker Carlos Tevez and United defender Gary Neville.

Neville flashed a one-fingered gesture at Tevez after the City man scored against United in the Carling Cup on Tuesday but Ferguson said: "I didn't see that at all."
