Roberto Mancini rules out Mario Balotelli move to AC Milan

Roberto Mancini today dismissed reports linking Mario Balotelli with a move to AC Milan.

There has been speculation suggesting the Manchester City forward could leave for the San Siro during this month’s transfer window.

Mancini said: “It is not true, Mario stays here. We did not have any requests about Mario or other players. Mario has another three years on his contract.”

Reports in Italy claimed Milan had been priced out of a permanent deal for the 22-year-old, while the club’s president Silvio Berlusconi said yesterday he can no longer afford “monopoly money” transfer fees.

Vice-president Adriano Galliani has repeatedly asked City to lower their asking price from a reported £28million but Mancini has no intention of letting Balotelli leave, even on loan.
