Romelu Lukaku feels no joy at Chelsea Cup success

Romelu Lukaku said he did not celebrate Chelsea’s Champions League and FA Cup success and would rather go on loan than endure another frustrating campaign.

The 19-year-old midfielder, part of Belgium’s squad for tomorrow’s friendly with England, started only four times last season and if he was watching a game from the stands would often leave after 70 minutes.

“When Salomon Kalou put the Cup on my lap in the bus I asked him to take it away immediately,” he said. “I didn’t want to touch it because just as with the Champions League I had no part in it at all. I have to play.”
