Roy Hodgson planning to up his spending

Shopping spree? Hodgson accepts he has to improve the Fulham squad

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson, fresh from a spying mission on Europa Cup opponents FK Vetra, hasadmitted he needs to spend.

Fulham have so far signed just Stephen Kelly and Bjorn Helge Riise this summer and Hodgson said: "If we are going to get anywhere near what we did last season, especially if we are to have any success in Europe, we need a stronger and a bigger squad of players."
