Should West Ham's Aaron Cresswell have been sent off against Crystal Palace?

West Ham's Aaron Cresswell was dismissed on his return to the first team after receiving two bookings in the space of a minute against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Hammers defender suffered an injury in pre-season and missed the start of what has been a difficult campaign thus far for Slaven Bilic's men.

But his return to the starting XI will have boosted West Ham hopes ahead of kick-off and the former Ipswich man set up Manuel Lanzini as the East End club took a first-half lead at Selhurst Park.

The strike proved to be the difference, but Cresswell's night was soured when he was dismissed for two bookings in the space of a minute in the second half.

The 26-year-old went down under a challenge from Yohan Cabaye in the Palace box and was handed a yellow card for diving before moments later stopping Wilfried Zaha in his tracks on the Palace right as the Eagles sought an equaliser.

But should he have been dismissed? Have your say in our poll below.
