Slaven Bilic hailed West Ham's off-the-ball play in the 3-0 victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

Goals from debutant Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Diafra Sakho sealed a famous victory over the Reds, ending the Hammers 52-year wait for victory at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho was dismissed early in the second period before Noble harshly saw red in the closing minutes as Bilic's men held out for victory.

The Hammers have been inconsistent under Bilic, beating Arsenal at the Emirates before successive home defeats to Leicester and Bournemouth, but the former Croatia boss was impressed with his side's organisation as they recorded victory over another side with top-four aspirations.

"We played good, we started well. We were well organised, and had a plan," he said.

"The players worked to the plan perfectly. Their movement, concentration and possession was top level.

"We parked the bus but we didn't put the handbrake on. It was simply great defending when we didn't have the ball."
