Wolfsburg managing director Dieter Hoeness is refusing to panic despite his side's poor start to the season.
The Wolves have lost their first three games of the Bundesliga season under new coach Steve McClaren, but Hoeness insists it is still early in the campaign and he is keeping calm, at least for the time being.
"Certainly there are a few things which have gone unsatisfactorily, but I will not get the hammer out and start smashing things," he told the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.
"The situation is certainly not critical. It would be wrong to start taking action."
There has been criticism of the signings Wolfsburg have made this summer, but Hoeness feels it is still too early to judge the newcomers and claims he has put together a competitive squad.
"I have no doubt about the quality of our squad," he said. "Even if things are not currently going the way we would like."
The Wolves spent 38 million euros on the likes of Simon Kjaer and Diego, more than any other Bundesliga side.
And Hoeness admits that fact does increase expectation levels.
He said: "We have got to get points so that we can return to normality."
Wolfsburg host high-flying Hannover in their next Bundesliga match at the weekend.
