Daniel Sturridge has credited Liverpool’s team ethic for their success this season following Saturday’s 5-1 victory over Arsenal.

The England striker got on the score-sheet for a fifth consecutive league game since returning from injury last month.

Sturridge bagged Liverpool’s fourth goal inside the 20-minute mark in what was a remarkable start to the match at Anfield.

"We went out there and did what the manager told us,” he said.

“The first 20 minutes were unbelievable and it's about the team. We worked as a team and we are getting results.

"It starts form the back and the boys have been excellent. Martin Skrtel got two goals and Raheem Sterling two and got a well-earned man of the match for all the hard work he has put in."

The victory took Liverpool to within five points of league leaders Arsenal and has propelled them back into the thick of the title race.
