Explosions were reported outside the Stade de France during France’s friendly with Germany as Paris was rocked by a series of attacks.

President Francois Hollande was in the stands to watch Didier Deschamps side in action but was rushed from the national stadium as news broke of the attacks.

Explosions could be heard in the stadium during the game, which continued until full-time, though by that time many fans had headed to the exits as news of the attacks filtered through.

Those supporters who remained were then allowed onto the field at the Stade de France as French police slowly evacuated attendees.

The match ended 2-0 to the home side but few were focused on proceedings on the pitch.

The French national team are due to travel to Wembley for a friendly against England on Tuesday 17 November.
