This month's round of international fixtures may not always be the most welcome for fans thrilled by the denouements of the Champions League and domestic competitions, but the coming few days certainly offer plenty of mouth-watering clashes around the globe.

And, with the World Cup mere months away, the stakes are as high as possible for a series of friendly games as the likes of Gareth Southgate, Joachim Low and Tite take one more look at their players before naming the squads that will jet off to Russia in June.

The international break will bring prestige fixtures aplenty: Germany vs Spain is perhaps a preview of the latter rounds of the World Cup, while Portugal vs Egypt promises a head-to-head battle between two of Europe's outstanding forwards in Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

Standard Sport has picked out some of the top international fixtures of the coming break and the Premier League stars you'll be able to see in action...
