Theo Walcott is a doubt for Arsenal’s Europa League clash against Cologne due to illness.

The 28-year-old missed last weekend’s 2-0 win over Tottenham and was being assessed at the club’s London Colney training base this morning before determining whether he was able to travel with the squad to Germany.

Walcott has been an ever-present in the competition this season and is likely to start once again if passed fit, while Mohamed Elneny is likely to feature having been fully fit but left out against Spurs.

Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and Mathieu Debuchy are all set to be involved while manager Arsene Wenger has a decision to make in goal with David Ospina fit again following a groin problem.

Matt Macey deputised in impressive fashion against Red Star Belgrade last time out – and in the EFL Cup clash with Norwich – but Colombia international Ospina is desperate for regular action ahead of next summer’s World Cup finals.

Ospina has asked to leave the Gunners in the last two seasons but Wenger convinced him to stay with the promise of regular involvement in cup competitions.
