West Brom coach Tony Pulis has admitted Jonny Evans could leave the club this summer for Arsenal if the Gunners table an official offer for the defender's services.

Reports in England have linked Evans, 28, with a move to Arsenal after the north London side saw centre-backs Per Mertesacker and Gabriel suffer long-term injuries recently.

Arsenal's other defensive option, Laurent Koscielny, meanwhile sat out Arsenal's 4-3 loss at home to Liverpool last Sunday with Wenger yesterday admitting he may not play the Frenchman against Leicester City on Saturday as the defender continues to have an extended break following Euro 2016.

With Arsenal subsequently being linked with a move for Evans, Pulis today addressed the rumours and insisted he wants the former Manchester United player to remain with the Baggies - but conceded an official offer from the Gunners could change things.

"If Arsenal come in for Jonny we will do it between the clubs," Pulis said on Friday ahead of West Brom's game with Everton this weekend.

"I am not going to sit here and talk about doing a deal with anyone.

"We want him to stay with us because he's outstanding. He was most probably our best player against Palace.

"Thing is with Jonny, I think he could play anywhere. Reads the game so well, never gives ball away, great addition to squad and well respected in the dressing room."
