Tottenham 3 Hull City 0: Mauricio Pochettino explains touchline toilet dash after second Spurs goal

Mauricio Pochettino has joked about being forced to leave his position on the White Hart Lane touchline to go to the toilet after Tottenham's second goal tonight.

Christian Eriksen's brace and Victor Wanyama's tap in gave Spurs a straightforward 3-0 victory over Hull City - but Pochettino was noticeably absent as the crowd celebrated Eriksen's second strike.

Pochettino spends the majority of the game prowling in front of his dugout, but had to quickly leave his post unmanned after taking on too much fluid and being caught short.

"I needed to go to the toilet. I drunk a lot of water! If it was 1-0 I would have kept my position!

However, Pochettino acknowledged that not all Premier League grounds offer similar access to White Hart Lane."

The Argentine also needed to relieve himself at Old Trafford but admitted he was unable to do so due to the distance between the dug out and changing rooms.

"I think it was against Manchester it was difficult not to go. It was too far. Here it was OK - it was quick," he joked.
