Tottenham and Chelsea stars Harry Kane and Alvaro Morata nominated for PFA award

PA

Tottenham and Chelsea strikers Harry Kane and Alvaro Morata have been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award.

Both strikers, who each have six Premier League goals in seven games this season – despite Kane not registering in August once again, are joined by Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and Manchester City trio; Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva.

Kane, who continued his fine form with a brace against Huddersfield at the weekend, has recovered remarkably from his August blank with 13 goals for club and country in September alone.

Chelsea’s summer signing Morata, who was brought in after Anotnio Conte lost out to Manchester United over top-scoring Lukaku, has more than made up for the disappointment with his string of top performances, though was forced off with an injury during their loss to Manchester City.

Fans can vote for their pick here before voting closes at 8pm on Tuesday night, with the winner announced at 9am on Wednesday.
