THE Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust has rejected Daniel Levy’s offer to meet and reiterated calls for the board to be replaced as part of a six-point plan to “lead the club into a new era”.

As part of their “first steps” towards change at Spurs, THST also called for the club’s owners ENIC to directly foot any fines related to their involvement in the failed European Super League.

On Monday, the Premier League said clubs will be required to sign up to a new Owners’ Charter with “significant sanctions” for breaches of rules in the wake of the proposed breakaway Super League.

In a statement today, THST said: “Part-owner Daniel Levy has offered a full Board-to-Board meeting, but we have made it clear that business as usual is not an option. We want to meet with the Club’s Owners, and to clearly establish the basis for any meeting before it takes place.”

In their six-point action plan, THST said replacing the entire board would constitute the “first step towards rebuilding trust between the Board and the people it has to work with in the game, with supporters and to repair the reputational damage done to our Club.”

“[The owners should] put distance between the Club and the decision to break away by replacing the current Executive Board,” said the THST statement. “This will be the first step towards rebuilding trust between the Board and the people it has to work with in the game, with supporters and to repair the reputational damage done to our Club.”

It also called for fan representation at board level, for the club to engage in the Government’s fan-led review into ownership, for full supporter consultation on non-playing decisions and for the creation of a “share ownership structure”.

THST added: “The Owners [should] make a public commitment that any costs or fines incurred by the decision to either join the ESL or subsequently to withdraw from it will be paid directly by the Owners and not be drawn from Club funds.”
