New Tottenham signing Dejan Kulusevski granted work permit as he targets debut in Brighton FA Cup tie

New Tottenham signing Dejan Kulusevski has been granted a work permit and is in line to make his debut against Brighton in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Kulusevski joined from Juventus on deadline day on an 18-month loan deal for which Spurs paid £8.3million.

The 21-year-old Sweden international has now been cleared to train with the Tottenham squad and is due to link-up with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday.

Fellow deadline-day signing Rodrigo Bentancur is due to arrive at the club on Thursday but will not be able to train until he is granted a work permit.

Bentancur completed his £15.9m deadline-day move from Juventus while on international duty in South America.

Spurs hope a work permit for the Uruguayan will come through by Friday, which makes him unlikely to start against Brighton.

Tottenham have been boosted by the return of Heung-min Son to full training after a hamstring injury, while Cristian Romero is expected to feature for the first time since early November on Saturday after recovering from his own hamstring problem.
