Tottenham have dropped Wembley ticket prices for their upcoming Europa League last-32 clash against Gent.

Mauricio Pochettino's side will play in Europe's secondary cup competition after failing to progress from their Champions League group, winning just two of their six games.

The north London club attracted crowds of over 85,000 for high-profile fixtures against Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen before enduring a drop to 62,034 for their final clash versus CSKA Moscow, which was played after they had been eliminated.

Group stage multi-game Champions League tickets were available for £70 but fans will now be able to see their side in action in the Europa League for as little as £5.

Spurs host Gent on February 23 2017 - seven days after the first leg in Belgium - with Level One and Two tickets available in the current phase of sales.

Both season ticket holders and members have access to the £5 tickets while general sale tickets are priced at £10.

A family package for two adults and two children is available for the price of two adult tickets as Spurs seek to continue to price tickets "attractively", according to an official clbu statement.

Spurs have competed in the Europa League for the past five seasons, with their best performance a quarter-final defeat to Basel during the 2012/13 campaign.

Pochettino dismissed concerns earlier this month that a return to the competition could be seen as a negative and insisted he is determined to progress as far as possible.

“To win five or six matches will be difficult because you are competing with very good clubs in Europe. It is important for the club to be involved in the Europa League.

“We need to think of it as a good opportunity to win a trophy. I don’t know why we would think about it in any other way, or in a negative way. We need to be positive," Pochettino added.
